The paramount ruler of Akyem Kotoku Conventional Region has been confirmed and conceded into the Eastern Local Place of Bosses. in a brief but colorful ceremony held in the Conferences Hall of the House in Koforidua, the capital of the Eastern Region.
Kotokuhene Oseadiayo Frimpong Manso IV administered the oath of office and secrecy to the house under the direction of Mrs. Comfort Bekyem, the supervising judge at the High Court, and Nene Sackite II, the president of the Eastern Regional House of Chiefs.
Nene Sackite II, the President of the House of Chiefs, was very happy and said that Akyem Kotokuhene's admission into the regional House of Chiefs makes the house fully present now. He also said that it was welcome news to the house and good news because their absence had previously affected how the Eastern Region House of Chiefs was run.
He was happy that the bosses have at last joined the house and expressed that their option to the house would add to the advance made, adding that the bosses would assist with decreasing the responsibility that fell on a couple of individuals. He gave the assurance that the Regional House of Chiefs would continue to work around the clock to settle any other pending chieftaincy disputes in the region in order to assist in preserving peace and unity.
In his acceptance speech, Kotokuhene Oseadiayo Dr. Frimpong Manso IV pledged to serve Akyem Kotoku to the fullest and called for unity, peace, and cooperation within Akyem Kotoku and the nation as a whole.
